Zatanna and etc

Made another Zatanna using a bit more coloring than the last one I made. After staring at her for a while, her face seems very Disney-esque... How I love using those cute sparkle brushes. Still more DC girls to come!

Poison Ivy and other DC girls...

So I've been in a DC girls mood. I finally set up photoshop and my scanner on the laptop, so I have no excuse to scan my work in now. I've also been attempting to mess around with colors and painting speed.

Barbarian Age

Upon the request of my boyfriend, I tried my hand at barbarians.  I ended up making this one, who I call Age, and paired her up with a robot named Gelgran for a scifi/fantasy kind of thing, somewhat like the Herculoids or even Heavy Metal.

I made sure to use plenty of Franzetta references for the anatomy, and some of the concepts for Diablo for the outfit.  I've done so many sketches of the two characters now, I think I'll go ahead and color one of the pair and post it as well.

Mild Cheesecake

I don't think I have ever colored a blonde before...Anyway, this was a request back on my devinatart page. It was just going to be a quick sketch in the beginning but once I scanned it I couldn't put it down until it was fully colored. The tattoos are all based off of the good ol' Sailor Jerry designs. I had done a background for it as well, but I opted for the single color fill instead to keep the focus on the pinup.

Love that Guy

I feel like I'm finally getting over the drawing block I've had for a long time. I decided to mess around with using textures and multiple line and colored layers.
My boyfriend requested I draw him his favorite green lantern, so I tried my hand at Guy Gardner. I loved this initial sketch I did of him so much, I decided not to change anything, even the fact that I ran out of space for his feet.

I feel like getting in more pencil sketches now, and not so much doing my line-work initially in digital like I used to...

Karen Starr

I finally got around to drawing a proper Power Girl. For my first try I just wanted to get her facial structure, hair and outfit right enough. Next time I'll try for more of an action pose.

A Boy and his Mustache

My cousin asked me if I could be his illustrator for his English's class's final project. They had to write a short childrens story. I tried a new way of doing backgrounds, just trying to make them different from the main character. Doing all 8 pages was surprisingly quick too. I had so much fun doing this, plus the story was so silly, I loved it.
