Rockette and retrofuture junk

I've been getting into retrofuture lately. I've always been a fan but never made a piece about it. I wanted the girl to have REALLY big hair, guess it's because I was feeling like Barbarella. The trouble I had where with the colors. Wasn't sure what would go with what. I also tried using as many layers as possible, though around the end, I forgot that rule, so a lot of the little details got put in the same layer as the line-work.

Look what I found! This was my first real animation project ever, I always wanted to finish it, and I have to update it now since the character design has changed since I made it.

Story time

I had been pondering this idea to practice a simpler style. I'll be making a short little storybook about my dog. I have here the final design of my sweet and funny little Cheva, I think I'll add myself in it too. I'll be working, and hopefully finishing the book during my summer break.

Girls, girls, girls. Just getting ready for comic-con and making giant sketch compilation pages. I'm thinking of compiling a second page of girls, since I just have too many of them that I like. I'm also thinking of placing each sketch in chronological order, just to show my progress over the years.

I've been wanting to do a series of images using the mythological characters of my culture, for now, the only one I've done is this one of la llorona......
